Giving @ New Hope

Why does God want you to excel in the grace of giving? It’s because he influences the world through his people. God gives to you so he can give through you. The Bible tells us that everything we have is a gift from God (1 Chronicles 29:14). As you give both faithfully and faith-fully, the world is changed for the glory of God: the gospel is preached, lives are touched, people are fed, bodies are healed, churches are built; and you, in turn, are blessed by God so that you can give again.

The ministry at New Hope is funded by God’s provision through the tithes and offerings of faithful New Hope members and attenders. The Bible teaches us that we worship the Lord with our tithe, which is ten percent of our income contributed to the church on a regular basis. When we feel called to give over and above our tithe, we do so as an offering. Offerings may be designated for specific needs (i.e. Missions, Benevolence, Outreach, etc…). or left undesignated. We are able to make a difference in our community and around the world through the faithful giving of our members and attenders.

There are now three ways to give at New Hope. No matter which option you choose, your contributions are tax deductible. All gifts received will go to our general fund unless otherwise designated.

ONLINE GIVING
The newest way to give at New Hope is online through Dwolla. Dwolla is quick, easy, secure and a great new way to pay with cash online. Accounts are free and easy to link to your checking account (this will take a couple business days when you first start). Your Dwolla account may be used to give one-time gifts or to set up recurring gifts. Recurring gifts can be scheduled monthly (sent on the 1st of every month), bi-monthly (sent on the 1st and 15th of every month) or weekly (sent on Monday every week). Now you don’t have to worry about trying to remember a checkbook for Sunday’s offering or what to do when you miss service due to a sickness or trip! There is even a mobile app with Dwolla. You can give during service using your mobile Android device or iPhone! To give online, click the button below.

There are several benefits to online giving for both you and our church. Some of them are. . .

Faithfully Honoring God - When you sign up to give online you are deciding in advance to faithfully give. God always blesses that kind of faith! The Bible teaches that we are to honor God with the “First Fruits” of our labor (Proverbs 3:9). By setting up a recurring contribution that is scheduled to come out of your account according to how you specify, you can ensure that your First Fruits are faithfully given back to God.

Simplicity - You won’t have to remember whether you gave this month or send in an offering by mail when you’re on a trip.

Security – Online giving is often more secure than giving with a check or cash because an electronic gift can’t be lost or stolen.

Focus – Instead of having to worry about writing a check and filling out an envelope during the service, you can be fully focused on the worship service, knowing that you have already given your offering.

MAIL
This is a great option if you already use online bill pay from your bank or would like to write and mail your own checks to New Hope. Please have checks made payable to NHCC or New Hope Christian Church and send them to: PO BOX 337, Lompoc, CA 93438. ***IMPORTANT: Mail sent to our street address is rarely received and most often returned to sender by the post office. Mail must be sent to our PO BOX.

SUNDAY SERVICES
During our regular Sunday services, New Hope is committed to providing opportunities for giving. Each week, families and individuals are given a chance to respond by check or cash during a specified time in our service where tithes and offerings are received. Make your checks payable to NHCC or New Hope Christian Church.
